Let me introduce myself...
My name is Sarah. I am 36 and I live in Birmingham (UK). My husband has had OCD for over 14 years (we've been together 12) and this is how I became involved with OCD.
I have started this group for those who suffer with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and supporters (carers, family, friends etc).
I recently read an artical in a newsletter by OCD UK www.ocduk.org where members and readers were sending in pictures to express their feelings about OCD.
As a Deviantart supporter of some years I decided this may be a good place to get together some like minded people, to create a community that aims to support and

Thank you to ~moongirl120 for 4 submissions - Here's what she has to say about them....
Here are a few images that I would like to feature if you would like. I did them during a very difficult time when I was off of my medication and saw how bad my OCD could be without it.
The first one I did ("The Thing") represents how I felt powerless over my OCD. The OCD is represented by the large red object in the top corner and I am represented by the figure on the bottom. My body does not have much of a shape because I feel I am loosing myself to the disorder.
The other two ("Untitled 1" and "Fear") like the first I did in a spontantous manner, not doing too much planning and just letting my feelings about my situation come out on the canvas. They both represent the fear I was feeling.
The last (Girl in the Sun) is also a spontanous piece but is a bit more hopeful and positive although there is still OCD in my life. All of the pieces have spike shapes in them which I think represent the OCD.
The First three are 24 x 36 and the last is 18x 24 and they are all done in oil.
